Publication Ethics
Journal of Stability Studies and Public Policy (JSSPP) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, to adhere to ethical standards in scholarly publishing.
Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to JSSPP must ensure that their work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for presenting accurate data and findings and must avoid fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and other forms of research misconduct.
Authors should appropriately acknowledge the work of others through proper citation and referencing. All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors, while those who contributed in a limited capacity should be acknowledged appropriately.
Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation of the research. If significant errors or inaccuracies are identified after publication, authors are obligated to promptly notify the editorial office and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.
Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the academic merit, originality, relevance, and quality of the submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions shall not be influenced by the authors’ race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, political beliefs, or religious background.
Editors must ensure a fair, objective, and confidential peer-review process. They are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the academic record and for addressing ethical concerns, allegations of misconduct, conflicts of interest, and requests for corrections or retractions in accordance with established ethical guidelines.
Editors shall not use unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research without the explicit written consent of the authors.
Reviewers
Reviewers contribute to the quality and integrity of the journal by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers should assess manuscripts based on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not disclose or use information obtained through the review process for personal advantage. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and inform the editors of any substantial similarity or overlap with other publications.
Reviewers should decline review assignments if they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, institutional, or other relationships with the authors or related organizations.
Publisher
The publisher of JSSPP is committed to supporting editorial independence and maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. The publisher works closely with editors to ensure that ethical standards are upheld throughout the publication process and that allegations of misconduct are handled appropriately and transparently.
Research Misconduct
JSSPP does not tolerate any form of publication malpractice, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, authorship manipulation, and unethical research practices.
When allegations of misconduct are raised, the editorial team will investigate the matter following COPE guidelines. Depending on the severity of the violation, actions may include manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, article retraction, notification of authors’ institutions, or other appropriate measures.
Conflicts of Interest
All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of research findings. Undisclosed conflicts of interest may result in editorial action, including correction or retraction of published articles.
Corrections and Retractions
JSSPP is committed to preserving the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct are identified, the journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as appropriate. Such actions will be conducted transparently and in accordance with recognized publishing ethics standards.
Publication Decisions
All manuscripts submitted to JSSPP undergo editorial assessment and peer review. Publication decisions are based on the manuscript’s scholarly quality, originality, methodological soundness, significance, and relevance to the aims and scope of the journal.
By submitting a manuscript to JSSPP, authors agree to comply with these ethical standards and acknowledge the journal’s commitment to maintaining integrity, transparency, and excellence in academic publishing.
