Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Journal of Stability Studies and Public Policy (JSSPP) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. To ensure the credibility and quality of published research, all submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening process prior to peer review.
All manuscripts received by JSSPP are checked using reliable plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with published literature, online sources, and other academic works. This process is conducted during the initial editorial assessment stage to ensure that only original and ethically compliant manuscripts proceed to the review process.
The journal defines plagiarism as the use of another author’s ideas, text, data, figures, or results without proper acknowledgment or permission. This includes, but is not limited to, direct plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and improper paraphrasing without citation.
JSSPP applies a similarity threshold policy. Manuscripts with a high similarity index (generally above 20%, excluding references and properly cited material) may be returned to authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the editorial team. However, similarity reports are interpreted carefully, and editorial judgment is applied to distinguish between acceptable overlap (such as methodology descriptions or commonly used phrases) and unethical duplication.
If plagiarism or ethical misconduct is identified at any stage of the publication process, the manuscript may be immediately rejected. In cases where misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, retractions, or other appropriate actions in accordance with international publishing ethics guidelines.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their submissions and must properly cite all sources and obtain permission for any copyrighted material used in their manuscripts.
Through this policy, JSSPP reaffirms its commitment to maintaining academic honesty, transparency, and the integrity of the scholarly record.
